Designer Roberto Palomba's ideas for creating the perfect bathroom

Roberto Palomba was recently in South Africa to present Kartell by Laufen, a striking bathroom collection.
We caught up with the multi-award-winning Milanese designer to hear more about the collection and his ideas for the perfect bathroom.
ON THE NEW KARTELL BY LAUFEN COLLECTION
It is the result of 20 years of working in the world of bathrooms. We wanted to transform the bathroom into a place of architecture and wellbeing.
It's primarily an architectural project. We aimed to create a bathroom as an interconnected system where sanitaryware and accessories can change their appearance like chameleons to meet a cross-section of tastes.
It was important for us to make sure thathomeowners can finally approach high-end products, in terms of design, innovations,quality and materials, without spending a fortune. The range is really not expensive.
The materials we used are integral as they appeal to a wide audience. The collection has everything from sheer edges to bright colour, and together there’s a great balance...
