This spot near Long Street is your ticket to all the city action, but it boasts so much to do inside it, you might never want to leave

LOCATION
15 on Orange enjoys a lofty position next to the Company's Garden, close to busy Long Street but far away enough for you not to be bothered by the noise and hustlers.
STYLE
Five-star, retro with the feel of a boutique hotel. It occupies the site of the old NG Kerk synod building, where church elders used to stay when in Cape Town and the original cement facade has been retained.
My vast suite offered a view of Table Mountain, which I could watch at my leisure from a hanging Perspex bubble chair.THE SERVICE
Pleasantly un-obsequious and unobtrusive.
THE 'DO' LIST
I like Long Street for the second-hand bookshops, especially Clarke's with its nooks and crannies. The nearby Royale Eatery serves some of the best burgers known to man and the Labia Theatre is just across the road. It's a great base, though, for exploring the city in any direction. The Suntra Spa will ease the aches and pains from your bones. There is also a gym and a rooftop pool with a spectacular view.
