How often do you travel?
It's totally money and schedule dependent. My husband and I try to travel whenever we can. Our goal is to go away together for at least two weeks a year if we can afford it.My father is from Leeds so we would visit family there when I was young. I remember the magic of aeroplanes and airports and tiny aeroplane glasses. The fact that we had fold-down tables amazed me. Also the mini breadrolls were incredible. What do you need for a perfect holiday?
I need someone I love with me. My most favourite adventures have always been with my husband, family or good friends.
Favourite holiday destination?
Ethiopia. It is a place with so many secrets and such fascinating history. It is also extraordinarily beautiful. And the food!
Favourite restaurant?
Sawaddee on Rheede Street, Cape Town. Most relaxing destination?
Namibia. Camping on a farm in the Tiras Mountains Conservancy was so peaceful.
Best holiday ever?
My first one ever! I went to Durban with my parents and sister. Before that I didn't understand what a holiday was. Your first holiday is always your best holiday.
Favourite city?
Cape Town. It is full of food surprises and mountains to climb and the architecture and art around the City Bowl are inspiring.
Most adventurous travel experience?
Ethiopia. We went to the Danakil Depression, climbed a live volcano and walked across bubbling sulphur pits. It was prehistoric.
What's your one travel essential?
Hand sanitiser.
Where next?
Hopefully Madagascar. The wildlife in the country looks extraordinary - so many rare species. My husband and I would love to explore this magical place.
