Pssst, kitty lovers! CatFest is pouncing on London next year
From feline fancy dress to kitty-themed cocktails, this gathering of cat fanatics promises to be all kinds of puuurfect
Save the date all you cat-loving travellers: a celebration of all things feline is headed to the British capital next year. CatFest will debut in London in July, and will be a chance for the cat-obsessed to connect with other kitty lovers.
Judging by string dangled by the festival website, attendees will have lots to purr over, from feline fancy dress to kitty-themed cocktails and cakes plus street food (sushi, perhaps?).
To pull on the purrs strings, there will be quirky and collectable cat art, plus showcases of fancy pet food and accessories, along with stylish cat-related products for their humans (cat-eared Alice bands, anyone?)
On the cerebral side, there will be films and inspiring talks from bestselling authors and animal experts.
The Cat Lit festival will feature the "newest, hippest" books and magazines, including Close Encounters of the Furred Kind by Tom Cox and Call of the Cats: What I learned about life and love from a feral colony by Andrew Bloomfield.
Readings from seminal kitty works will include Gwen Cooper's Homer's Odyssey (yes, Homer's a cat).
There will also be an onsite adoption lounge to raise awareness and to help cats in need. After all, cat's what it's all about...
