Artist Joan Miró was born in Barcelona, but spent his childhood summers in Sóller in Mallorca, where his mother's family was from. When in 1929 he married Pilar Juncosa, from Palma, his bond with the island was further strengthened and he settled there in later life. Now, the building that housed his studio, just outside Palma, is part of the Fundació Pilar i Joan Miró (http://miromallorca.com) (€7.50/R136), a museum dedicated to his work...
