Who needs look out the window to see what the weather's like, when a new invention can help bring that thunderstorm or sunny sky right into your living room.

According to Ken Kawamoto, his latest invention the Tempescope can create real raindrops, clouds and even lightning to simulate a real-time weather display.

The device can also interface with weather programs or internet forecasts to show you what the weather will be like tomorrow or what it's like in other parts of the world - all without leaving your home. There are plans to launch a crowdfunding campaign later this year.

The Tempescope is not the first weather-orientated invention to hit the internet. Storm-lovers can also take a look at 'The Cloud' thunderstorm lamp, an interactive lamp and speaker system designed to mimic a thundercloud.

Designed by Richard Clarkson, 'The Cloud' can stream music via any Bluetooth compatible device and adapt to any desired lighting, color and brightness. A remote control allows user to set it to different modes, getting it to act like a simple thunder cloud, to respond to movements in its surroundings, or to respond to sounds or music that it hears around it.
