Rangers face death every day in war against poachers

Two shots rang through Kruger National Park. It was around midnight on Friday last week when a group of South African National Parks rangers realised there had been another hit. A reaction team was sent to the area near Malelane where the park borders the N4 highway to Mozambique. Expertly, those first on the scene combed it for fresh tracks, for clues to help them catch the ever-growing band of poachers who now practically live in the park.
