'Frugal' top cop claims to have 'muscle' for mansion

Embattled acting national police commissioner Kgomotso Phahlane is adamant he should not be questioned about how he can afford a mansion in an exclusive estate because he earns "more than a living wage". Phahlane is embroiled in an ugly conflict with the Independent Police Investigative Directorate after the police watchdog body accused the acting commissioner of interfering with witnesses in a case it is investigating.
