President Jacob Zuma has again urged church leaders to refrain from criticising the government and calling for his removal.
Zuma said this while speaking to congregants at St John's Apostolic Faith Mission Church in Evaton, south of Johannesburg.
The president said pastors should rather spend their time praying for politicians to self-correct.
Zuma's comments come after the South African Council of Churches openly lobbied ANC MPs to side with opposition parties to remove him in Tuesday's no-confidence vote in parliament.Buoyed by the failure of the motion, Zuma yesterday said he was concerned about the church's involvement in politics...
