Letting go of Verwoerd, again

During the early '80s, as a student at Stellenbosch University, I regularly walked past this building. I often looked up and saw - written in large, bold letters in a place of honour above the main entrance - the familiar name, HF Verwoerd. In those years this kind of public exaltation was commonplace.
