Mampara of the week: Belinda Bozzoli

26 May 2019 - 00:00 By Hogarth

They'd hardly warmed their reduced acreage in the National Assembly with their tanned backsides when Desperate Alliance MPs found themselves bruised once more by a Twit in their ranks.
Sniffing disdainfully as a rousing chorus raised the parliamentary rafters, MP Belinda Bozzoli tweeted: "Their persistent and relentlessly deafening singing of struggle songs is really irritating." Twitter responded predictably but Mamparozzoli was prepared.
Using the playbook of the DA's Twit-for-Life, Helen Zille, she attempted to explain herself in thousands of self-righteous words … precisely 5,800, pre-emptively posted in February on an obscure website.
She must have been really irritated (again) when this display of her superior intellect left critics utterly unmoved.
