Former state security minister and chair of the home affairs portfolio committee Bongani Bongo appeared in the Cape Town magistrate’s court on Thursday morning on a charge of corruption after he allegedly offered advocate Ntuthuzelo Vanara “an unlawful gratification”.

Others, including CEO of the Municipal Infrastructure Support Agent (Misa) Ntandazo Vimba were also arrested.
