The new scramble for Africa
The US and China should co-operate rather than compete to help Africa grow its economies, writes Colin Coleman

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) estimates current world GDP to be $87-trillion (about R1,363-trillion), of which the US represents $21.4-trillion and China $14.1-trillion. All of Africa’s GDP combined totals only about $2.6-trillion.
