Judging from the resolutions at the ANC’s national policy conference, many of the party's leaders and members appear to have realised Cyril Ramaphosa’s continuance as ANC leader at the 2024 national elections is critical for the party to remain in power, albeit probably in a coalition of sorts, writes William Gumede.
