Tottenham cruise to FA Cup semis

Tottenham Hotspur's Christian Eriksen scored twice in a 3-0 victory at Swansea City as the north London club breezed into the FA Cup semifinals yesterday.
The Dane's exquisite left-foot strike put Spurs in front after 11 minutes in a one-sided tie at the Liberty Stadium.
Erik Lamela buried a right-foot shot past Swansea's Swedish keeper Kristoffer Nordfeldt to make it 2-0 before the interval and Eriksen killed off the hosts just past the hour.
Swansea, playing in their first FA Cup quarterfinal since 1964, were without cup-tied striker Andre Ayew and his bother Jordan, who was suspended, and offered little resistance as the visitors enjoyed a comfortable 90 minutes.
A couple of minutes into the match on a Swansea counter, a ball into the box was punched away by a diving Michel Vorm, resulting in the upending of Swansea forward Nathan Dyer. Swansea wanted a penalty, but play was waved on.
Tottenham didn't have to wait long to get on the board as they took control of the match. After a two-on-one turnover, Eriksen received a pass from Lamela and dribbled into the final third, coolly firing a curler into the corner to make it 1-0 to Spurs.
Brazilian January signing Lucas Moura showed just how good he can be, weaving through in a tight spot in the 15th minute.
The only surprise was how long it took for Spurs to get the second goal. Son Heung Min had a goal disallowed in the 23rd minute that went to the video assistant referee.
The home side's only chance came just after half time when Tottenham's former Swansea keeper Michel Vorm made a fine double save to deny Martin Olsson and Tammy Abraham.
Eight-times FA Cup winners Tottenham are looking to lift the trophy for the first time since 1991, since when they have lost seven semifinals, most recently to Chelsea last year.
Spurs will effectively enjoy home-ground advantage in the semifinal because Wembley, which stages the semifinals, has been their temporary home this season while their new stadium is being built...
