Actors and broadcasters have taken to their timelines to share their tributes to the late ambassador to France, Nathi Mthethwa.
Nathi, who was laid to rest in KwaMbonambi in KwaZulu-Natal on Sunday, was honoured with a category 2 special official funeral.
His body was found on September 30 on a street outside the Hyatt Hotel in Paris hours after he sent messages to his wife, Philisiwe Buthelezi, telling her he would take his own life.
Radio personality Criselda Kananda shared images from the funeral with the caption: “Rest Nyambose, may your gentle soul find eternal peace,”
Gospel star Bucy Radebe performed at the funeral. She shared a glimpse of her performance with her tribute.
“Thanks to the Mthethwa and Buthelezi families for the invitation It’s such a great honour. I only knew today my music was a favourite in the ambassador’s house because of his wife.”
Actor Tony Kgoroge posted an image of himself with other stars when sharing his tribute.
“You taught, you reminded us of that which was important, never took a decision hastily. I remember you saved a conference where we were about to cut each others throats. Lala Ngoxolo Cde Nathi Mthethwa.”
