Not so water-wise
TV sports presenter Carol Manana has been off air since the World Cup after catching a nasty bug from the water in Venice.
Manana didn't know she shouldn't drink the tap water in the Italian city, where she spent a two-week holiday with her mother in late July.
She fell ill on her return and doctors suspected cancer. The already slim presenter lost a lot of weight.
Manana spent three days in hospital.
"I fell sick during my trip in Italy. I had always wanted to go there.
"I grinned and bore it, but when I got home, it got worse and I could not walk for days," she said.
"After days of check-ups and tests, the doctors found out that I had a bacterial infection that was affecting my lymph nodes."
She said she expected to be back at work at the weekend.
"After hearing that I shouldn't have drunk the water, I think my illness might have been caused by that," she said.
