The "Jackass" movies originated on MTV and, in 2002, became a worldwide hit for its main character, Johnny Knoxville, and his hard-drinking, raucous buddies.

Bodily fluids were spewed, spurted and splashed throughout the first film - an ode to humiliation, physical destruction and appalling behaviour.

In the first film one of the tough guys lubricated a small toy car and inserted it into his anus, so that he could surprise the doctor.

In 2006, the sequel Jackass Number Two arrived, in which one of the highlights involved swallowing a cocktail of fresh horse-semen.

Now the Jackass boys are back. I sat through the first 10 minutes, which looked exactly the same as the first two films, and then I walked out.

There comes a moment where you feel you are sliding backwards down the evolutionary ladder and Jackass 3 provides that moment.
