Playwright and producer Mbongeni Ngema has introduced a new Zulu television entertainment channel, according to a report on Tuesday.

The channel, Zulu TV, will be flighted throughout sub-Saharan Africa via satellite, said The New Age.

"We are delighted to partner with the King Zwelithini Foundation in this venture," Ngema said.

The channel was introduced on Monday and will have a strong emphasis on local productions.
