Before Generations - The Legacy makes it's debut on national television this evening, the SABC has revealed that viewers are in for a surprise as an unexpected twist is set to take place.

As viewers wait in anticipation for the 'new' Generations, parts of the plot are already beginning to become clear.

With Connie Ferguson as Karabo Moroka and Rapulana Seiphemo as Tau Mogale at the helm of the popular drama - the two are set to go head to head as they battle it out to establish their own legacies.

The twist is that, Karabo Moroka will be completely unaware that the love of her life, Tau, whom she eloped with to London has his own agenda and is intent on creating his own legacy, albeit independent of hers.

Viewers will also be introduced to Mogale's sister, Tshidi who is played by Latoya Makhene and alongside her gangster husband, is also taking aim at the Mogale/Moroka legacy.

About the show, Generations executive producer, Mfundi Vundla said: “Generations The Legacy, is about stimulating a conversation on the transfer of wealth, knowledge and culture. Successive generations in African society have produced men and women of great intelligence, vision and the drive for excellence. For a variety of reasons -some no doubt related to our painful past, our development as a people has been stymied. Generations The Legacy in its own way will address this issue -not in a didactic manner but in interesting narratives.  Now is the time to establish family legacies that move our country forward."
