Featuring hit Durban kwaito group Big Nuz and DJ Tira, the first episode of 'Ezase Afro' aired on Mzansi Magic on Thursday night.

The reality show follows the lives of record label Afrotainment's talent and gives audiences a look into how they tackle the music industry on a regular basis.

Viewers saw as Big Nuz got ready for their multiple performances and how they traveled six to seven hours on the road without sleep.

One of the members, Mampintsha detailed how he had an incident on an airplane and as a result was hesitant to fly again.

His fellow group member, Danger amusingly told of how Mampintsha would retreat whenever they reached an airport and he would get nervous.

Ezase Afro also touched on the so called 'groupie life' as a lady fan joined them on their tour bus on their way to a performance.

Other interesting parts of the show came when Tira proclaimed he didn't know 'sex sells' while scantily clad women can usually be seen on his artist's music videos. Big Nuz also had to contend with performing in tiny establishments while exhausted from traveling - they kept their energy and cheer up though, mingling and taking photos with fans.

The show also has sad moments in store, such as when R Mashesha passed on last year and a well attended funeral was held in his honour.

The show will air every Thursday at 8pm on channel 161.
