Not only has he collected thousands of fans across the country‚ but he also managed to bag the coveted Best Newcomer award at the South African Hip-Hop Awards late last year. Emtee – who has a close relationship with Nasty C - believes that Nasty C’s body of work is worthy of a SAMA nod.“I feel like‚ because I respect Nasty C’s work‚ that he should have also been nominated‚” the Roll Up hitmaker told TMG Entertainment at the SAMA nominees announcement‚ held at the Soweto Theatre on Thursday.“I’m definitely sure that he is strong artist‚ who is going to end up here [nominated for the SAMAs] very soon.”According to Emtee‚ the two rising rappers - who have previously worked together – have managed to form a close bond‚ despite speculation that they would be at loggerheads with each other. He revealed that he’s saddened by the fact that their hectic schedules don’t allow them enough time to hang out.“I’m cool with Nasty C. We are super cool. Sadly‚ we hardly have to time to chill‚ because we’re both busy. That’s actually one of the few rappers that I’m actually cool with. I hope that we collaborate on great things in the future‚ besides music‚ but even business-wise since I’m a hustler.”Emtee also opened up about the brotherhood he shares with other young and upcoming artists including Gemini Major and dbn nyts‚ revealing that they are all trying keep the spirit of “togetherness” alive...
