Today marks three years since TV personality Vuyo Mbuli passed away from a pulmonary embolism, however his memory lives on through his friends and family.

One of his closest friends and former Morning Live co-presenter Leanne Manas told TMG Entertainment that the day Vuyo passed away, is always a sad day for her.

“It’s always a sad day, which reminds me of what a great loss it has been for the media industry and those close to him. But it also allows me to remember the good times we shared and the happy memories that I have of him,” Leanne said.

The TV star added that she misses everything about the relationship they shared.

“Vuyo was always someone I could depend on whether I had a good day or bad day - we always had each other’s backs. Regardless of the fights we had behind the scenes, we always put the show first and dedicated ourselves to making the show a success. We were partners in crime and I miss everything about that relationship.”

This weekend hundreds of runners will take to the streets for the annual Vuyo Mbuli 10KM memorial run, which has been organised by his family for the past two years.

Leanne added that it is such a great way to remember him as he loved running.
