Popular musician and dancer Mixon “Tsekeleke” Tholo has beaten poverty and after an R11 000 payout is ready to resurrect his music career.
According to reports earlier this month, the personality had apparently gone bust and was too broke to even afford bread.
The reports said that Tsekeleke had signed a two-year contract with an advertising company in 2014 but had not received a payment since January.
He revealed that he had been in a long battle with the company to get the promised monthly cash but had only received two payments.
Now, according to Daily Sun, the company has paid the artist and he can finally afford to restart his music career.
"I received a payment of R11 000. I am happy that I finally received payment for my hard work. Now I will be able to pay for the recording of my upcoming album and I will finally be able to afford to support myself and further my music career,” Tsekeleke told the paper on Friday.
Tsekeleke said he was told it would be his final payment from the company.
