Watch: How Nasty C dropped an instant hit

Rapper Nasty C might have most of the country jamming along to his hit Hell Naw, but did you know that the track was written and released all within 24 hours?

Talking to 947's Mac G this week, Nasty C explained that he was sitting on a balcony talking to his friend when he was listening to one of the beats he had produced earlier.

"When I started listening to Hell Naw, it had a hook already, I started writing bars. I wrote four lines and I realised it was going somewhere," he said.

He started rapping the lines to his friend before deciding that he needed to go inside and just rap it all.

"The first verse was so effortless. I don't even remember revising it. It was so straight forward. It was just these dope lines, these funny lines, let me just write them down," he said.

He finished the song the same night and decided to release it in the morning.
