Riky Rick's Family Values goes platinum!

Riky Rick's Family Values effort has achieved platinum status, after releasing it to great fanfare in April last year.

The debut album - which features top local talent, including Black Motion, OkMalumKoolKat and Cassper Nyovest - was certified gold by the Recording Industry of South Africa (RISA) for shipments of over 20,000 copies in September last year, before reaching platinum status more recently.

To celebrate this major milestone, the Boss Zonke hitmaker threw a party for his fans this past Friday at Soweto's Zone 6. He was joined by some of his industry friends including Kwesta, Ms Cosmo, Major League, Nomuzi and DJ Warras among others.

Taking to Twitter, Riky's fans have been inundating the social media platform with congratulatory messages for this feat.

Oh, Riky Rick's Family Values sold platinum by the way. They might have robbed him the SAMA award but numbers don't lie.
