Details around the musician's death is still sketchy, however a family member confirmed the unfortunate news on Facebook.
Kyllex was well-known in the Kwaito music circles and was also famous for producing SABC1's Yizo Yizo soundtrack.
He also played an integral part in many musician's careers including the late Lebo Mathosa and Ismael.
Taking to Facebook on Tuesday a family member by the name of Bongane Fezile Faku confirmed the news.

The post was instantly inundated with condolence messages from fans who could not believe the news.
One fan asked if the news was true, to which Bongane responded, "Yeah my king... this morning vele."
Fans have since been remembering Kyllex and his contribution to the music industry through tributes.
