There is major reshuffling going on at Metro FM with Somizi and his former bestie set to host back-to-back shows on the station. Awks!

Several well-placed sources have confirmed to TMG Entertainment that Somizi and Khanyi Mbau will be hosting the morning drive show on Metro FM.

This means that Somizi's former bff, Bonang Matheba, will be on air straight after his slot is over.

The move is the latest in a set of major changes at the station after Tbo Touch resigned last month.

It was earlier reported that Somizi would be joining a SABC radio station, and although the broadcaster has remained mum on exact details, as previously reported by TMG Entertainment, it was a done deal that the Idols SA host would be on Metro.

TMG Entertainment has it under good authority that after Tbo Touch resigned, the slot that Somizi was originally set to fill, was changed and it has now been agreed that he will be taking over the morning slot.

"There has been a lot of reshuffling. He was only told recently that he would be taking over the morning slot," says an insider.

TMG Entertainment exclusively revealed on Thursday that Mo Flava and Lerato Kganyago would be taking over the afternoon drive slot, leaving their morning spots open.

It's understood that Somizi and Khanyi may be joined by a third presenter, but that has yet to be confirmed.

The SABC meanwhile has refused to comment, saying that an announcement will be made in due course.

"Somizi still has other obligations to complete before a formal announcement can be made," says the broadcaster's Kaizer Kganyago.
