7de Laan's Jacques Blignaut welcomes a baby boy

Massive congrats are in order for 7de Laan actor Jacques Blignaut and his wife Melanie, after welcoming their bundle of joy on Thursday.

Taking to Facebook, Jacques - who plays the role of Vince in the popular Afrikaans soapie - gushed as he announced the news of the arrival of his baby boy.

"Our son Raphael Jacques Blignaut was born this morning at 08:17. What a joy!" he wrote.

Jacques and Melanie tied the knot in 2009, after having met in 2000 while they were studying at Wits University. Although the pair had to split when Melanie moved to the Far East for work-related reasons, they were reunited at a church service in 2008.

The couple now have three kids together, two girls and one boy.
