Rhythm City actor Mduduzi Mabaso is the complete opposite of the gangster he plays on the hit soapie.
In fact at home Mduduzi is a hopeless romantic who is completely besotted with his wife, who he's been with for 10 years.
Speaking about their romance to Drum magazine Mduduzi's wife, Fatima said that it was not love at first sight for her.
She thought he was a "ghetto guy" and he just wasn't her type
"I didn't see Mdu like that, he was not my type. He would say, 'Ngiyakuncanywa, joh (I love you).' And I would be like, God no! He was just another guy from the township," she told the publication.
But Mduduzi knew what he wanted and never gave up. He wooed Fatima with flowers and chocolates until she started to notice him.
And ten years later they're still together and madly in love.
"It has been a curvy, bumpy road for us, but such is life. We fight like any other couple, but that's normal," said Mduduzi.
From thinking he was 'too ghetto,' Fatima now is proud to call him her man and best friend.
Mduduzi's social Instagram account is filled to the brim with pictures and sweet messages to his wife.
"God has blessed me," the actor said in one of his many posts about Fatima.
