Maraza is on a war path with promoters who he claims has been falsely using his name to 'sell out' their events.

The popular rapper is gatvol of promoters using his name and image to allegedly sell out events that he is not performing at, and has decided to expose them.

A evidently outraged, Maraza took to Facebook on Sunday to publicly shame a company he claims "scammed people into paying R100 each" to see him (Maraza) perform in Midrand over the weekend.

  • Fans at war! New Frank Ocean album splits the internetFor the past few days Frank Ocean has dominated the internet. You can hardly go anywhere online without hearing about the US pop star and his new album, Blonde. It even has Adele choosing sides!

"This was false advertising. They used my name and face without permission and also scammed people into thinking Big Star Johnson would be there as well," he explained.

The rapper took his shaming one step further by recording a cheeky conversation he had with one of the event's organisers and shared it onto his Facebook page.

  •

In the video, Maraza confronts the company about the event and about the use of his images on promotional material.

One of the event organisers can be heard on the video addressing Maraza's concerns. The organiser who is known as Ndumiso Simelane told the rapper that he was not aware about his partner using Maraza in promotional material.

"I will always advertise events I am performing at. I will never not show up to an event I am booked and paid for...I worked very hard for this Maraza brand. I will not allow people to misuse it," the rapper wrote.
