Menzi Ngubane brought to tears by wife's surprise

The actor, who has had his fair share of relationship drama in the past, is evidently living his happily ever after.

Menzi recently 52 and completely taken aback when his wife blindfolded him, and drove him to Muldersdrift where a room full of close family and friends waited to celebrate with him.

"My love, niyabonga (thank you). I'm turning 52 today and over these years and throughout my ups and downs, no one ever did something like this for me," Drum magazine reports.

Speaking to the publication Menzi said that he was completely taken aback by his wife's gesture.

Menzi, who suffered kidney failure and underwent a kidney transplant in 2014, has spoken out on numerous occasions about being grateful for a new lease on life.

While Menzi was dealing with his health issues, it also emerged that he had divorced his wife of five years.

But the good news is all of Menzi's troubles are in the past.

"I'm happily married. If anyone asks you to mention five happily married couples in the world, we're one of them."
