After TMG Entertainment confirmed that popular house DJ Euphonik was leaving 5FM after years at the station, it has now been confirmed that he has found a new home at 947.
Insiders confirmed to TMG Entertainment that Euphonik and Milkshake had handed in their resignations from 5FM earlier this month.
There was speculation that Euphonik would be joining 947 but sources at 5FM insisted that he was leaving radio to focus on other business ventures.
They were wrong.
It's now been confirmed that Euphonik has moved radio stations and will be joining 947.
His new show, eUNITE, will be on every Sunday night between 6pm and 8pm while he will also do a weekend mix on Anele Mdoda's show every Friday just after 6pm.
Insiders at 947 say that it's a major score for the station.
"Euphonik is a massive brand. Him leaving 5FM was a major loss but our gain."
Eu himself was kinder about the move.
“My years at 5FM presented an amazing journey but the time has come to open a new chapter, starting with 947."
