Considered one of Kwaito's grand pioneers, Mandoza had a sterling if somewhat tumultuous career. His rugged, thumping beats lacing his distinctly brawny vocals has ensured his pedestal at Kwaito's foreground.

The Nkalakatha hitmaker died on Sunday after losing his battle with cancer. It was confirmed by his family last week that Mandoza who had first been diagnosed with cancer in May 2015 had been suffering with the disease again‚ after a tumour was detected in his brain.
