Mandoza's family overcome with emotion as funeral gets underway

Hundreds of mourners have gathered at the Grace Bible Church in Soweto to bid a final farewell to Kwaito legend Mandoza.

The mood at the church is sombre as the funeral service gets underway.

A giant sized picture of Mandoza stands at the front on the stage and soft religious hymes are being played.

Those close to Mandoza including his widow Mpho who is dressed in all black fight to hold back tears.

Beautiful flower arrangements line the front of the stage.

Mandoza's casket was carried in by family members.

Ahead of the funeral service this morning the mood at Mandoza's house in Pimville was sad and tense, as family members broke down with emotion as Mandoza's body left to the church.
