Twitter roasts Unathi Msengana over her beaded wig
Twitter wasted little time hitting the roast button when Unathi Msengana debuted, on Sunday evening, her Cleopatra-inspired beaded braids wig on Idols SA.
The Idols judge and radio personality wore the costume headpiece in celebration of heritage month, but some Twitter users were not having it.
"Unathi's wig looks like it's about to sing 'you don't come around, to see me in the week,"' one user commented.
"I can't concentrate, Unathi's hair/wig is distracting #IdolsSA," another wrote.
More viewers continued to poke fun at the wig, comparing it to Good Enough Sithole's (widely known as 5 Skippa) signature look.

However, not everyone had a strong aversion to the beaded braids. According to TV personality Bonang Matheba , Unathi looked like royalty.
@unathimsengana You look like royalty. Hair accessory is so bomb!! #IdolsSA

Unathi herself seemed unfazed by the criticism as she continued to share pictures of herself with the wig on admitting to an obsession with beads.
"Happy Heritage month! One of my nicknames is Nontsimbi (Nobeads) because of my obsession with beads! I got it from ma Mama!," she said.
