Xolile, who many fans will remember as Julia Motene on Generations, will star alongside Jet Novuka, Mmabatho Mogomotsi, Lunathi Mampofu, Senzo Radebe, Wiseman Mncube and Nkanyiso Mchunu.

Xolile told TshisaLIVE that she is super excited for fans to see the show when it makes its debut this weekend.

  • Radio silence: Is Masechaba Ndlovu really leaving Power FM?Masechaba's future as a presenter on Power FM is shrouded in mystery, with neither side willing to comment on claims that her and breakfast show host Lawrence Tlhabane are about to get the boot.

“I am a bit nervous about how it is going to be on screen but I really enjoyed working on the show. I was lucky to work with a number of amazing actors,” Xolile said.

Xolile will be playing the role of Angela Ndamase, a wife in a wealthy family who gets caught up in riches and loses her culture in the process.

“The role was a little difficult to play because I love and hold onto my culture so much. Our culture is the only thing that grounds us as a people. So, I had to find a way to wear the hat of the character and enjoy it,” Xolile added.

  • Whackhead resigns from Breakfast Xpress, Anele to fill the spotAs reported by TshisaLIVE Anele Mdoda will be moving slots at 947 to the breakfast show after Darren 'Whackhead' Simpson resigned from the Breakfast Xpress.

The show will compete with Mzansi Magic’s Our Perfect Wedding on a Sunday evening and Xolile believes that Ingozi will show OPW flames.

“I know that it will. Give it two episodes and you will see. It has an amazing cast that will just explode on screen. There’s something about the African audience that when something resonates with them they will fall in love with it. I believe that this will really find its way into the hearts of the people who watch it. My soul tells me that,” she said.

Ingozi starts this Sunday at 7:30pm on SABC 1.
