Twitter users hauled AKA over the coals after he defended President Zuma in a series of tweets during the chaotic #SONA2017.

The president's address was filled with drama as EFF members were dragged out by Parliament security and pepper spray was released in the public gallery.

In the middle of it all, AKA sang the president's praises and seemed unfazed by corruption.

The outspoken rapper also told fans that it was up to them to make a life, just like his father who grew up poor in Mitchells Plain.

The comments saw AKA being dragged by followers who labelled him "arrogant" and "privileged".
