Fifi Cooper, B3nchmarQ and A-Reece have threatened to take their fight with Ambitiouz Entertainment to court again over claims that the label owned the rights to the trio's music.

Ambitiouz made headlines over the weekend when it was reported that  the company had apparently sent a letter to broadcasters' demanding that radio stations stopped playing music recorded by the trio during their time at Ambitiouz.

The three acts left Ambitiouz under a cloud late last month, amidst claims of money and contract disputes.

  • I was told to come back to the SABC before I lost my car and houses, says Tbo TouchAs radio mogul Tbo Touch prepares a R28 million relaunch of his Touch Central radio station, he has revealed that he was once allegedly told to come back to the SABC or he would end up broke.

The musicians shared a letter they sent to Ambitiouz, demanding that the record label stop "misleading" promoters and radio stations by claiming to own their music.

Fifi went on to claim that "harassment" from Ambitious Entertainment was affecting her work and warned the label that she would seek legal counsel if the "abuse" did not stop.

  • I told Riky Rick not to join corrupt Mabala Noise, says Julius MalemaEFF leader Julius Malema has addressed Riky Rick's departure from Mabala Noise and claimed that he advised the rapper against joining the record label in the first place.

Speaking to the TshisaLIVE, SABC spokesperson Kaizer Kganyago said that the broadcaster's legal team had not received a letter from Ambitiouz but would not get involved in the feud between the record label. and the musicians.

"We assess the music and not the label which sends it. We cannot refuse an artist’s music if it is submitted simply because a record label has aired a grievance. This is an issue between the two parties involved and we cannot be stuck in the middle of it," Kaizer said.

Several attempts to contact Ambitiouz Entertainment for comment were unsuccessful.
