Ayanda Ncwane has finally spoken out about being 'bashed' in the media shortly after her husband Sfiso's death.

Days after the gospel star's death a string of negative reports involving Ayanda emerged, but she has remained silent through it all.

Now, for the first time, Ayanda has addressed some of the backlash she faced.

"Most of my family and friends were angry that I refused to defend myself in media or any platforms. But I kept on telling them... 'I know who has called me,'" she said.

Ayanda said that she sat silently while her character was bashed because she had faith. "Allow anyone who wants to trash me, spit on me, hate me, lie about me to do so, but he who has promised to defend me will surely do so in his time."

She added that she has forgiven everyone who had negative things to say about her.

"I truly forgive everyone who has said hurtful things about me and hated me for no reason or because of fabricated stories about me. If you ask God to use you as an example, he first gives you strength for it," she said.
