Rapper Flex "Rabayeezy" Rabanyan is all smiles after being crowned the latest winner of popular Vuzu reality music show The Hustle on Monday night.

The KwaZulu-Natal rapper, whose real name is Mpumelelo Mthembu, won the second season of the show, beating out fellow rapper Joshua "Josh The I Am" Peterson.

He was the overwhelming favourite, and speaking to TshisaLIVE, Flex said that he always knew he would win. Still,  he was worried about being snubbed at the last moment like he claims Babes Wodumo was at the SAMAs.

"We all know that Babes was the favourite going into the SAMAs but she didn't win anything. I was praying I wouldn't be hit with a Babes moment," he said.

It's been a whirlwind year for the youngster, who last year  moved to Johannesburg to pursue his dream of becoming a rapper.

"A year ago I had just arrived, now look at me. I can guarantee that in a year's time I will be even bigger," he said.

Part of his prize includes R250,000, a recording contract and an Opel Corsa.

Although Flex admits that he likes the expensive things in life and is working towards buying a Bentley, he said that he would use the money to invest in his career.

"I want to use the money to invest in myself. I have a car now so I can go to gigs and f*ck sh*t up.  I want to buy some studio equipment so that I can record whenever and wherever. I also want to invest in my image because I can't be walking around like I'm broke and didn't win The Hustle," he said.
