Trevor Noah is never shy to compare Jacob Zuma to Donald Trump. Speaking to Late Show host Stephen Colbert last week, the two chuckled as they said they wouldn't mind a president swap.

Colbert asked Noah whether there were any similarities between Zuma and Trump, to which Noah sarcastically replied: "My president is currently embroiled in a scandal where his family has been using their ties with the presidency to make money."

Noah asked whether it sounded familiar to Trump's presidency.

He then said "[Zuma] had a few issues before he became president - sexual harassment".

"He's friends with Vladimir Putin," to which Colbert laughed.

It's not the first time Noah has compared Trump to Zuma.

Shortly after Trump's election win in November, Noah told the US what awaited them as South Africa had already experienced the rise of a popular president.

Colbert asked Noah whether he would ever consider becoming a US citizen. Noah replied: "I am here and I am loving it. I have always loved the United States."
