Just as we were still basking in BeyChella glory, Kendrick Lamar was announced as a recipient of the 2018 Pulitzer Prize in Music for his award-winning album DAMN.

The announcement was made on social media late on Monday night, making Kendrick the first rapper to ever be awarded with the prestigious honour.

Although Kendrick hasn't taken his celebration to social media yet, people (especially black people) all over the world have sent congratulatory messages and expressed how proud they are of the rapper.

In the album DAMN, Kendrick speaks about issues such as police brutality, racism and survival for black people.

This is happening right after Beyoncé went and had Coachella renamed after her and Black Panther has made more money than Titanic.

Meanwhile all of us feel like we also won because #blacklivesmatter, because #blackpeoplearemagic and also #wakandaforever.

We could go on, but we pretty sure you get the point!
