'Men need to do better!' says Twitter after graphic abuse scene

Last night's episode of The Queen was so intense, not only because of great acting, but because the storyline was too close to home for many tweeps.
Abuse of women and children is a very real reality for a lot of people in Mzansi and The Queen's storyline around it has been a topical point since it began. Viewers have been forced to introspect and to even debate all kinds of abuse that they may have been turning a blind eye to.
However, the very graphic scene in which Tebogo beat Kea to a pulp, left everyone genuinely shook.
This episode took me back when I witnessed my mother being hit and burnt in a stove by my father. I was only 9 years old but the picture is still clear in my mind #TheQueenMzansi pic.twitter.com/6aLzwJspOP

Everybody knows that it is just acting, but so many people were in their feels because unfortunately most have seen it happen in their lifetime to them or to someone they love.
This storyline reminded me of the abuse I suffered in the hands of the man I love. Being beaten with my boy on my back, falling but he never cared. Abuse is real WOMEN, run for your life. 😢😢😢 #TheQueenMzansi

After watching the scene of Tebogo punching Kea like she is some sort of a punching bag, i really broke down in tears because of what I've witnessed in real life when i was young!
