As the tributes for 29-year-old Akhumzi Jezile and four others, who lost their lives in a fatal car crash continue to flood social media sites, The Soil has also shared a video of a heartbreaking performance they dedicated to Akhumzi.

The Soil were fond of Akhumzi and shared a video in which they sang their famous rendition of the traditional Christian song Sedi Laka.

"This past weekend we sang this song for you Akhumzi Jezile. We will love you always. Rest in creative peace. Condolences to the Jezile family. You will always have a place in our hearts. May God take good care of your spirit."

The song, which is a hymn often sang at funerals, is one of The Soil's hit songs and speaks about God lighting up your way so you may enter heaven.

"Sedilaka mponisetse tsela
Ke tsamaye
Ho, ho lefifing hape ho sebaka ntsamaise
ha o le teng
Ha ke batle tsebo ya ntho tsohle"

The trio sang for Akhumzi in PE at one of their scheduled performances and you can see many in the crowd wiping tears as they sang.

In addition to the goosies their heavenly voices will give you, this rendition will tug at your heartstrings because of the fresh pain of deaths.

Akhumzi lost his life on Saturday morning along with Thobani Mseleni, Siyasanga Kobese and two others in a fatal car crash.
