In true Mzansi style, Twitter has been buzzing with excitement ever since soccer star Lionel Messi and the rest of the FC Barcelona squad jetted into O.R Tambo International on Wednesday morning. 

Barcelona will play Mamelodi Sundowns in the highly-anticipated Nelson Mandela Centenary Cup at FNB Stadium on Wednesday night.

And, of course, Messi's arrival in the country meant it has been a meme fest on Twitter. 

From keeping Messi away from polony to throwing massive shade towards Sundowns & their fans, Twitter has been busy. 

O.R Tambo International Airport was packed to capacity as fans chanted Messi's name as he and the other team members made their way out of arrivals.
