Criselda Dudumashe has lashed out at Bizana residents after a creche and portable toilets were torched during service delivery protests. Criselda and some of her friends dug deep into their pockets to buy some of the toilets.

Two months ago the death of  five-year-old pupil Lumka Mketwa, who drowned in a pit toilet at Luna Primary School in Bizana, caused widespread outrage.

In the wake of the tragic incident, Criselda and her friends came together to raise money to buy portable toilets.

Criselda said she and are friends are not wealthy, but are blessed and wanted to help make a difference as a temporary measure.

"We did this to prevent another tragic death of a 6-year-old. Envirofuel joined us as a responsible corporate citizen. The toilets were delivered within a week."

She added that the children were visibly happy and grateful at the gesture.

"This morning we learnt that the adults of Bizana torched a crèche and the donated toilets. I’m beyond disappointed. I get that people are impatient but this biting the nose to spite your face is bordering on insanity. This is one of those instances where we need a #SignFromMama what kind of people are these?????"
