They've pulled a stunt before on breaking up, so when AKA and Bonang "split" for a second time, even their fans were hesitant to take sides. Also, B and AKA kept it relatively peaceful, not throwing shade (well, at least not anything hectic) towards each other.
But, hot damn, that has changed.
As AKA gets ready to release his new album, Touch My Blood, he has been releasing files and files. B has also had her say. In an interview with Drum magazine, she said she misses nothing about her ex.
AKA on Friday morning released a track from his upcoming album and got in deep.
"How you gonna be my fiance living like Rihanna, thinking you Beyonce" and "When I left my baby mama I thought you will be my soulmate – you was a bomb bae".
With the stunt speculation (mostly) put out of the way, fans have chosen their alliances. After all, if it was all hype and a prank, things have gone really personal.
TshisaLIVE has made numerous attempts to get hold of AKA and Bonang. AKA's team told us they've got a 'no comment' policy at the moment and Bonang's team said they are not ready to comment...yet.
