AKA had some things to get off his chest.

Rapper AKA is still glowing in the shine of his album Touch My Blood going platinum and on Wednesday called his fans and haters for a State of the Music Nation address.

Here's what went down:

If you stopped buying the music, I’d have no way to provide for my family

The Super Mega started his address by thanking fans and pointing out that without them he would not be able to feed his family.

"I just want to thank all the fans/fam who support me. In fact, who support this entire industry. It’s because of you that we can feed our families. You are the reason this entire industry is thriving because of your support. Thank You."

He admitted that sometimes it was easy to forget that fame came suddenly and could be taken just as fast.

"If tomorrow you stopped coming to the club, stopped coming to the shows, stopped buying the music, I’d have no way to provide for my family. Sometimes it’s easy to forget that you put me here and you can take it away."

Then it was down to the serious business of gloating.

Dude claimed his latest success was reached without him or his fans having to beef with anyone. In fact AKA "blue ticked" all his critics.

"We went platinum and we didn’t have to beef with anybody to do it. We just worked our a**es off while people took shots at us. It’s okay. It’s all good though. On behalf of the Megacy, I forgive you. You miserable ba**ards."

AKA announced his latest album had been certified platinum last week and told followers that it took a lot out of him.

"Consistency is everything in this game. I remember when I started working on this album I wasn’t sure what I wanted people to hear me talk about or how I wanted to sound. As time went on I realised that I needed to go deeper than I ever had. This album took so much out of me."
