While AKA and Cassper Nyovest may be rivals who don't see eye-to-eye on a lot of things, they both agree they will not be pressured into "people pleasing".

Whether it is auto-tune (cc. AKA) or rapping on kwaito beats (cc. Cassper) the pair have taken to their social media pages to make it clear (no offense to their fans) that they will never compromise on what they want to do in the name of making other people happy.

Cassper said he wasn't even trying to go "broke" because he's trying to please hip-hop critics.

Maybe this tweet below is part of his reason why.

Meanwhile over at the megacy AKA schooled a fan who questioned when he would make another song "as lit" as All Eyez On Me

AKA explained that such pressure was too much for anyone to function under and that he's not willing to chase the success of that hit song when he could focus on making different and better music.

"There can never be another All Eyez On Me... that’s where a lot of artists go wrong, busy chasing the success of their previous songs. You gotta keep moving forward or else you spend precious time chasing something you might never find again," the rapper said.

So... Lesson of the day?
